Photoshop Dream Tool Video - Seam Carving And Intelligent Resizing

Make sure to watch this amazing video of what is called an "intelligent method of resizing images" that's been presented by Dr. Ariel Shamir and Dr. Shai Avidan. The two have found a way to resize images using what they call "seam carving" which reduces the distortion when manipulating pixels. They also demonstrate how they can cleverly remove people from images with what looks like effortless work.

Photoshop Plugin Akvis Sketch Updated To Version 5.5

Slow Dancing - Making 5 Seconds Last 10 Minutes

Wired just published a story about photographer David Michalek's project called Slow Dancing, which is a series of super-slow-motion, hi-defintion films featuring 43 portraits of dancers and choreographers from around the world, displayed on multiple screens, each 5 stories high. And what's astonishing is that the films, which last an average of 8 to 10 minutes each, contain only 5 seconds of action. That's because they were shot at 1,000 frames a second. Wow. And I was so intrigued, but the photos in the article left me guessing. There weren't any. There was just a drawing. How bizarre.

The CD, called Thinkbrushy Goes Scrapbooking, features high resolution brushes and graphics. It's a complete set, just like the scrapbook kits you can purchase online, but much more special because scrapbook designers do not usually design brushsets, so their kits usually only feature graphics. World's Largest Photograph And Camera Is Certified As A Guinness Record

The Great Picture — the world's largest photograph — will have its premier showing September 6 to 29, 2007 at Art Center College of Design, South Campus Wind Tunnel, Pasadena, California. In official certificates issued July, 2007 in London, Guinness states: "The largest camera was created from an airplane hanger measuring 13.71 x 48.76 x 24.38 m (45 x 160 x 80 ft). The camera produced a photograph on canvas measuring 9.62 x 33.83 m (31ft 7in x 111ft). The attempt was organized by The Legacy Project at the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, California, USA in June 2006."
